L704E - At Jimmys they do it the hard way

Ten years ago the first establishment of the chain of icecream houses Jimmy’s opened its doors in Sofia. The company which implemented the original idea to offer at o­ne and the same place mainly ice and other products based o­n icecream together with coffee, coffee-based and refreshment drinks is called Rosseli. The management functions were undertaken by Rossen Nedelev who was just 25 at that time.

In 2006 the company built an icecream production factory in Kostinbrod with a capacity for 15 tons daily. This capacity is not yet reached which enables the commercial department to meet the peak moments in the summer without any problems. Instead of building up stock the company just increases the load o­n the production lines.

The setting up of a national distribution network proves a serious challenge to Jimmy’s. The company undertakes the whole distribution in Sofia and Western Bulgaria. At other six places throughout the country – in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna, Bourgas and Sozopol – distribution networks are built in cooperation with partners.
